Objective
Edit
- Acquire a Snakeskin Purse
- Region: Atop Nameless Falls and other places.
Details
Edit
To finish the quest, find a Snakeskin Purse in one of the many possible spawn points and turn it in to Arsmith.
Walkthrough
Edit
When you're at one of the locations listed below where the snakeskin purse can be found, save the game, this is done because the purse doesn't always drop and can drop from multiple different things, to make the quest itself easier, by saving before you engage in combat.
Once you've cleared the area of the objects specified below in locations and did not find the purse, reload that save file and try again, the drop chance isn't low enough to have to keep reloading your save more than once but it is low enough to clear the area and not find it.
Location
Edit
Known Possible Spawn Points:
- One can be found in a fishing spot north of Gran Soren. To get there, exit Gran Soren, then follow the road to the right until you reach the river. Once there, keep heading up stream checking all the "gather" area's with fish in them. The area is guarded by Sulfur Saurian.
- One can be found inside soulflayer canyon, after sliding down a waterfall and looking left, where you will see a puddle with fish jumping inside. There you can find a Snakeskin Purse.
- One can be found in the river (fish gathering spot) north-west of Gran Soren, just on the borders between Deos Hills and Cursewood. If you look on the map, it is by the top right corner of the "eye-lash" looking structure encircled by forest. There are Sulfur Saurians nearby. It is also due west of the Nameless Falls.
Note
Edit
It is adviseable to copy the quest item due to its ability to be used in crafting. The price to have a copy made at The Black Cat is 16,875 G but you get 10,000 G for turning the quest in and another 97,400 G if you decide to sell the Golden Bastard, which is also another reward to completing this quest. You will also be able to use the copy in your next playthrough, which will bypass having to look for it at random spawn points.
