Alon is an NPC in Dragon's Dogma.
Description
Edit
A traveling merchant who has set up shop in the ancient quarry. He has the mettle to sell anywhere his feet may take him.
You first find him when you travel to the Ancient Quarry where he wants to use the quarry to continue his travels, but is held back by a locked gate and a group of monsters.
QuestsEdit
Complete the quest Of Merchants and Monsters which is given by Alon in front of the Ancient Quarry, and he will be available as a merchant inside the Ancient quarry, located specifically in the abandoned mine area.
The Peddler's Petition: Escort Quest to the Stones of Courage. Appears on the notice board at Pablos' Inn in Cassardis in Post-Game.

The Swordsman and White Hawk Armor sets are available only from Alon.
Whilst the individual items of it may be found as rare chest drops, Alon is also the only place where the Steel Armor set (Steel Sallet, Steel Cuirass, Steel Gauntlets, Steel Sabatons) may be purchased. This becomes available at Stage 7 (Post-Game) when his Affinity is at a high level.
'Stage' refers to at which segment within the Main Quest that the item first becomes available to purchase. For further details of the 'Stages', refer to the Shopping page.

- Raise Alon's affinity to acquire his Escort Quest.
- He actually never travels beyond the Ancient Quarry as his first dialogue may indicate. In fact he doesn't travel beyond the gate he needs you to unlock either.
- If you complete Of Merchants and Monsters he moves to the Abandoned Mine inside the Ancient Quarry and opens up shop there.
- If you do not complete Of Merchants and Monsters he moves to The Abbey in the Wilted Forest during Post-Game and opens up shop there.
