Austine is a smithy in Gran Soren, recently of you come across him just when you first arrive at Gran Soren, you see his son Wilhem lying on the floor, Austine explains he had a weak heart and had just collapsed, a traveller had told him a little later that you could buy these strange stone shards and you need just 3 to make a wakestone and bring the dead back to life, which then starts Reaper's Scorn.
