Autonomy is an augment available in Dragon's Dogma.
Description
- "Grants you additional Strength and Defenses when you venture forth alone."
In Dark Arisen, when the Arisen is without any Pawns, this augment increases total Strength and Magick, both by +20%, and reduces both physical and magickal damage by a fixed amount of 20 Health points.
In Dragon's Dogma the Strength and Magick boosts where +70%; and damage from both physical and magickal attacks was reduced by 30 health points.
The damage mitigation is higher in Hard Mode, and on Bitterblack Isle.
Notes
Mode | Damage Reduction |
---|---|
Normal Mode | 30 [20] |
Hard Mode | ? [90 Physical/45 Magickal] |
Bitterblack Isle | no change |
Figures in brackets are changes in Dark Arisen |
- Damage mitigation is done at a flat rate - whatever damage would have potentially been done is reduced by a set factor - if the mitigation is greater than the total foe's damage then typically only 1 hp of damage will be done. The damage mitigation effects stacks additively with mitigations from other augments - these include Bastion, and Fortitude for physical damage; Awareness and Apotropaism for magick damage; and Bloodlust for both types of damage. The reduction is taken after all other effects, including elemental weaknesses, or striking resistances for physical damage.
- The boost is also applied when all of the Arisen's pawns are incapacitated but not sent back to the Rift. e.g., if a Drake uses Roar to incapacitate all pawns.
- The magick and strength boosts stack multiplicatively with other augments that increase attack power (eg Acuity or Clout) - in Dark Arisen only the total cumulative increase in Strength and/or Magick is capped at +80% total (i.e., 1.8 times).
