Dragon's Spit is an item available in Dragon's Dogma.
Description[]
- "A combustible designed to envelop the area around the point of impact in flames."
When held, can be thrown at enemies causing Thrown Damage with a mixture of physical and fire elemental damage, and a high likelihood to inflict burning. It can also be used to quickly mine ore at an Ore Deposit.
Damage[]
Dragon's Spit consists of an initial burst of flame that damages anything it directly hits, followed by three explosions of the same power that can damage anything in a small (~1m) radius.
The explosions consist of a equal mixture of blunt physical damage and fire elemental damage (500 strength each). In addition the physical component is increased by the thrower's character strength. Like other items that cause thrown damage neither augments, nor items or equipment further increase (or reduce damage).
If initial connects with a tarred foe will have its damage doubled. With ghosts generally only the first strike connects, as the creatures disperes on that hit.

Notes[]
- Not to be confused with Throwblast. Dragon's Spit strikes several times with a small fire explosion, whilst throwblast one strikes once, but with greater power, and only physical damage.
- The magic is strong enough to destroy most ghosts with a few (or dozen) hits, but is not strong enough to damage Wraiths.
- Sometimes thrown by Hobgoblins.
