Before starting this quest it is important to note that you require 6 Greenwarish to complete it. It is advisable to combine this quest with Witch's Brew as they have the same destination. If you do this, make sure you bring a Gransys Herb as well.

Back in Cassardis, you'll be able to pick up this quest from a fisherman by the name of Merin, who is generally either along the shore in Cassardis or walking through town.

Inquire after Valmiro (optional)Edit

Merin will bid you speak with other villagers, so scurry about town and see who you can find to talk with. Speaking with them is optional however so you may proceed to the Unusual Beach to find Valmiro himself.

Alonso can be found lingering around the gate of the village. He'll say that he's seen Valmiro near the shore, but that he seemed a bit "unawares".

Barten hasn't seen him, but Valmiro spoke with him earlier about sea creatures. He'll suggest you search by the shore.

Mayra last saw him up in a tree, chasing after a bird. She heard him mention wanting to explore the land to the south though.

Speaking with folk will not update your quest.

Make your way outside the village and go down the path to the right that leads to the beach. There, you'll happen across Valmiro, who is a bit incapacitated and lying helplessly in the sand. Speak to him and he'll beg for an herb.

Give him a Greenwarish and a mini-cutscene will trigger, during which he'll apologize and set off for the Encampment.

Track down Valmiro (1)Edit

Simply head towards the Encampment; it's unlikely you'll have any troubles by now.

Near the gate, you'll hear Valmiro calling for help again; he can be seen laying off the side of the road beneath a tree. Speak with him and this time he'll ask for 2 herbs. Hand them over and another cutscene will trigger. He'll then make his way to Witchwood.

Track down Valmiro (2)Edit

Q dyingofcuri 2

If you don't want to end up out at night, it'd be in your best interest to rest at the inn at the Encampment until morning before you head out.

Whatever you decide, make your way to Witchwood now. To reach the woods take the left path on Manamia Trail after exiting the encampment through the north gate up into the mountains. Keep to the left path until you see a fog rising. This is the Witchwood. You will need to enter the woods to find Valmiro.

Only a few steps into the woods you'll find Valmiro, who's collapsed on the road yet again. This time, he'll ask for a whopping 3 herbs. Fork them over and a final cutscene with Valmiro will trigger. He'll apologize for being foolish and say he'll never leave the village again before heading home.

Track down Valmiro (3)Edit

After Valmiro leaves it's time to head back to Merin and tell him Valmiro is safe and sound back home. The quickest route to Cassardis is actually through the Witchwood instead of turning back. If you decided to do the quest Witch's Brew this route is mandatory now.

Head into the Witchwood over the creek and keep to the left path while the road forks twice until you see a fallen tree acting as a make shift bridge. Climb up the rocks on the left and cross the tree and head further east. Continue on this path to find the Witch's cottage. During the day you will find Selene in the flowerbeds, other times she will be in her house. Give her a Gransys Herb and she will give you a Herb Ale in return.

Now exit the woods through the north exit. The caves will exit at Seabreeze Trail just outside of Cassardis. Now head back to Cassardis and speak with Merin to complete the quest.

Quest successfulEdit

After speaking with Merin the quest is completed. When you speak with Valmiro in Cassardis he will give you three "The Sundering Spear" Tomes for helping him, if you speak to him immediately after for a second time, he gives you three "Fulgurous Lord Tome".
