Badge of Vows 12 is a Badge of Vows medal obtained during the From A Different Sky quest of the same number. The badge is the remnant of a former Riftstone, collecting it earns a reward of Rift Crystals.
In the original Dragon's Dogma, Badge of Vows 12 is obtained as part of the From A Different Sky - Part 2 DLC quest pack, in Dark Arisen, the quest is included in the base game.

Found in an elevated wooden platform attached to the side of a house in the Urban Quarter of Gran Soren.
Picking up this item grants a reward of 1 Rift Cluster and 1,000 experience. This item can be duplicated at The Black Cat for 18,750 Gold.
Walkthrough[]
Access the rooftops by either climbing the ladder near The Black Cat, or jumping onto a roof from one of the castle walls. The badge is located in a box on a balcony. Follow the quest marker to the rooftop so that you are standing on the quest marker. Walk along the north edge of the roof you are on while looking straight down over the edge. You will see a small wooden platform jutting out from the end of the balcony. Jump down to the platform and walk into the balcony. Break the box to reveal the badge.
The balcony can also be reached easily using the Levitate skill or performing a Double Vault from a running start.

- Smashing boxes in the near vicinity, or other causes of shocks may cause this badge to drop through the floorboards onto the street below.
