Trivia[]
The name of this weapon,"Virge of Madness" , is a rather intelligent play on words. A Virge was a rod used to beat someone as form of Corporal punishment. This weapon, being a mace, is also a blunt instrument used to beat enemies with.
Its item description may also play into this.
A traitor's death historically refers to those executed by being hung drawn and quartered. A form of Capital punishment reserved typically for those who commit the crimes of Treason or Adultery. Crimes often seen as crimes of Jealousy.
