Pike is an NPC in Dragon's Dogma.
Description[]
- "A member of the Iron Hammer band of bandits. He's still new to the thieving business and tends to get ahead of himself."
Pike is one of Maul's thieves. Maul took him in when he was a young boy. After quitting the gang, he roamed around thieving alone until he ended up in Cassardis.
It's up to the Arisen to decide his future.
Location[]
Can be found in Cassardis after the quest An Uninvited Guest or in The Ruins of Aernst Castle after the quest No Honor Among Thieves. When in Cassardis, Pike will be at the Inn, he can be found praying in the Village Chapel or roaming the streets and seashore.
Quests[]
- An Uninvited Guest
- No Honor Among Thieves
- Company of Thieves (escort Pike to the Warrior's Departure; available after Reward and Responsibility)
Notes[]
- When at The Ruins of Aernst Castle amongst the Iron Hammer Bandits Pike will fight as an Strider with daggers and shortbow. He uses Carve, Two Step, and Loose, the bow skill Triad Shot and the dagger skill Sprint usually with a jump finish.
- Vulnerable to Torpor. Use upgraded Rusted Weapons (like a Rusted Bow or Rusted Longbow) to inflict the debilitation (useful during An Uninvited Guest).
Quotes[]
After An Uninvited Guest
- "Er, well met, ser... Pray, forgive me for the trouble I caused. I've cast aside thieving, I have. Become an honest man, apprenticed to the innkeep... I owe the man a debt. You as well, if it please you. You've shown me there's more to life than nursing an empty belly."
Living in Cassardis
- "I like my life here well, to be sure, but... I need to end my past life properly. I've a mind to see my old brothers. To leave the fold for good and all...though they'll not like to hear it."
During No Honor Among Thieves
- "Maul took me in as a boy. Said he saw promise in me. And here I've given him naught for all he's done."
- "I cannot run from the oaths I've sworn. I shall return, as you say. Like as not, I shall walk to my death, but at least I shall die a man. I thank you, ser...Farewell."
During Post-Game
- "This is all some foul dream, d'you think?
- Or might be we're all dead and gone beyond... Heh, bugger that."

Trivia[]
- A pike is a pole weapon, a very long thrusting spear formerly used extensively by infantry. Unlike many similar weapons, the pike is not intended to be thrown. Pikes were used regularly in European warfare from the early Middle Ages until around 1700 (see also Wikipedia: Pike (weapon)).
