  • Once the incantation for the first form Gicel is completed, the caster can slowly move about.

Damage[]

The first form of Gicel generates three tortuous crystals of ice (one main one and two smaller to the sides) that damage any foes in their path. Foes at close range will be hit by the initial ice and will continue to be damaged as the crystals grow onwards past them.

  • The maximum number of strikes is nine (that is, three hits per spire).
  • Foes at extreme range will be hit fewer times but can still be struck several times.
  • Once the crystals are fully grown, the formation will eventually explode and dissipate - this explosion does not seem to damage.

The spell includes a physical component which scales with core and weapon strength.

High Gicel adds three ice crystals rapidly formed and destroyed in quick succession at the beginning of the cast. The remainder of the spell is the cast as with Gicel but with somewhat higher magick power. The initial three crystals seem to only strike foes once, not multiple times as with the final three.

  • The additional strikes at the beginning of the spell only have a magick component.
  • The final three spires (nine strikes in total) are like those of Gicel, but are a little more magickally powerful.
  • Physical damage is actually a little weaker with High Gicel than Gicel.

All the magickal spires scale well with total magick from a fairly strong base.

Grand Gicel increases the number of initial short-lived ice shafts from three to six.

Notes[]

  • All Gicel icicles and the last three in High Gicel and Grand Gicel have a good chance to freeze an enemy.
  • Smaller spears, as well as those added by High Gicel and Grand Gicel, have limited homing ability.
  • Icicles have respectable length (around 20m), but due to the random twist on their path, they rarely reach foes afar.
  • Works with group spellcasting.
  • This spell's 'holding time' after charging and casting is 5 seconds.
  • Has a destructive effect against environmental objects of similar power to that from Explosive Barrels.
    • Thus, it can be used to break down the fragile walls in The Greatwall fortress.
    • Can also be used to dislodge ore from Ore deposits
  • Against Golems and Metal Golem discs, the lower tier Gicel is not only stronger but is also quicker to cast.
