Material Witness contains two different escort quests:

Benita

• Escort Benita to Cape Pactforge

Barnaby

• Escort Barnaby to Bloodwater Beach

"I've been charged with the task of gathering materials, but do not fancy the thought of traipsing through lands o'errun with monsters. I should feel far better with a strong escort along."

Although this quest is before Guardsman Sought on the list, it is recommended to do this subsequent to that quest. By doing this you will be able to tie together quest chains and minimize some of your walking about.

1. Assuming you don't use your Ferrystone from A Fortress Besieged then you can swing by Cassardis on your way back from The Shadow Fort to pick this quest up. Thus, when turning in the final from "A Fortress Besieged" you can drop off this one.
