Rift Crystal is an item available in Dragon's Dogma.

Rift Crystals are a form of currency in Dragon's Dogma. They can be acquired by having your pawn shared with another player via the Rift, and can also be found as drops from some enemies. They can be obtained as rewards from Quests. They are primarily used in the renting of player-created or offline pawns from the Rift, and can also be exchanged for cosmetic and personality altering items from the Rift Shop. With the addition of the Dark Arisen content, they may also be used to further enhance dragonforged items, to repair broken riftstones, and to purify cursed items.
Types of CrystalsEdit
There are five items in this category:
- Rift Crystal Speck: Receive 30RC when picked up.
- Rift Fragment: Receive 100RC when picked up.
- Rift Crystal: Receive 400RC when picked up.
- Rift Cluster: Receive 800RC when picked up.
- Rift Bicrystal: Receive 2000RC when picked up.
- Perfect Rift Crystal: Receive 10,000RC when picked up.
- With the addition of the Dark Arisen content, additional rift crystal types can go as high as 10,000RC each.
LocationEdit
Rift Crystals can also be found as an item in-game. It looks like a small purple orb, and adds between 100-800(depending on tier) to your stock when picked up.
- Each enemy in the game may drop a Rift Fragment or a Rift Crystal. High level Monsters may even drop a Rift Cluster.
- Monsters located in Bitterblack Isle have the highest chance of dropping Rift Crystals.
- By resting at the inn the game may hire your Main Pawn off-line and award you with a level-based amount of Rift Crystals. Ie. the higher your level, the higher the amount of crystals received. (Off-line Rift Crystal gain for resting at an inn no longer happens in Dark Arisen).
- When other players hire your Main Pawn you will receive a certain amount of Rift Crystals based on the experience gained while part of the other players party. The more experience gained the more crystals gained when released.
Rift Crystals may also be bought as Downloadable Content from Xbox Live or PSN.
