Sleep is a debilitation in Dragon's Dogma that renders the afflicted immobile and vulnerable. While asleep, the afflicted will take double damage from the next blow they receive and will be considered to be out of battle (For the benefit of the Arisen only). Sleep is a temporary Status Aliment and lasts only 20 seconds. Being hit or being assisted by the Arisen or Pawn will remove it.
Tips
Harpies of all class (including Succubus) employ Sleep as their main tactic. The Chimera is also known to inflict Sleep. Arisen and Pawns can inflict Sleep using Sleeper Arrows. Death will attack your party by casting Sleep in a large area of effect, then following it up with his fatal Scythe attack; 100% sleep resistance is recommended for all Pawns hoping to be useful in Bitterblack isle.
Tips
Edit
- Any enemy that falls asleep is treated as out-of-combat and hence will receive extra "Ambush" damage.
- Sleep affects most Bosses (The Chimera is especially susceptible) and can be used to grant the party a respite or a chance to avoid a boss battle all together.
- Enemies afflicted with Sleep are more susceptible to Pilfer.
- The Restless Earring raises Sleep Resistance by 60%
