Capcom recently released a press statement, confirming new features and support for Dragon's Dogma post-launch. New modes and content will be available for all players in coming months.

Available free of charge and scheduled for release sometime before the end of 2012, this update will put players' skills to the test by implementing two brand new modes. Speedrun and Hard Mode. Speedrun will challenge players to complete the game as quickly as they can, and special rewards can be granted in-game depending on the total time it takes for complete the game. Hard Mode enhances enemy difficulty, and provides a more challenging in game experience. The reward of progressing through this mode is new, powerful equipment.

In 2013, Capcom will release the first DLC for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. More details of this major expansion are to come in the future.
