The Bloodless Stockade is a location in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.
Overview[]
The Bloodless Stockade is an area in the labyrinth of Bitterblack Isle. It is accessed through The Forgotten Hall and has entrances to Sparyard of Scant Mercy and the Arisen's Refuge.
Much of the lower area consists of water filled sewers. Bring a lantern or spend 300 Rift Crystals each to light the Beacons as the underground area is pitch dark.
Enemies[]
Initially Death will be encountered in this area, often in the sewers. An Eliminator can be found near the Arisen's Refuge. Other foes include Spiders, Leapworms, Poisoned Undead, Corrupted Pawns, Specters, Wight, Cyclops, Wraiths, and Phantoms.
Post-Daimon the area becomes more dangerous due to the additional presence of either :
- A Wight, two Specters, four Vile Eyes, and two Living Armors. (Elder Ogre also may appear, especially in the presence of a lure.)
- .. or ..
- Three pygmy Cyclopes, two Gorecyclopes, four Vile Eyes, and four Corrupted Pawns. (Additionally Death may appear, especially in the presence of a lure.)
Both also include large numbers of Leapworms.
Loot[]
Pyrepipe and Nightfall Cresset grow here. Rarer gatherable items here include a Wakestone, or Wakestone Shard, Jewel of Summoning, Monk's Periapt, Bitterblack Novelty Lv.1, Drop of Deliverance, and various amounts of Rift Crystals.
A Macabre Sculpture can be found here on the second floor on a ledge of the square spiral staircase, and a Moonbeam Gem in the underground sewer level.
Pawn Chatter[]
- " 'Tis the blackest dark I've ever known."
- "We'll not fear for ambush if we dispel the dark with this."
- "A bit more light can only help us in our explorations."
- "Strain your eyes against the dark. We may not be alone."
- "A lantern serves well in the dark, but it cannot match a beacon fire's light."
Notes[]
- On the second floor is a hole in the wall which leads down to the watery sewer area of The Bloodless Stockade. Jump or levitate carefully across the Brine-infested water to reach the hole. This shortcut is useful for bypassing enemies to run for the exit to the Sparyard of Scant Mercy. Be aware that this shortcut drop can inflict Fall Damage on the way down, and Death may be lying in wait at the end of that drop.
- A Ring of Desiccation is of great utility in the water filled lower levels, alternatively use items or spells that grant Impervious.
Death[]
- Main article: Farming Death.
Death will appear with regularity here. Additionally even if defeated it will reappear on re-entering; this leads to the area being a favoured location for killing death both for items and experience.
